Gift Shop Sales & Service

Greet and assist guests. Operate the POS System and handle cash, credit cards and other payment types. Maintain a clean environment and assist in the inventory process. This position may also be needed to assist the front desk in answering phones while receiving high volumes of calls and assist the front desk in any other tasks that need to be completed.

Housekeeping

Responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning cottages and lodge homes according to company standards.  Making deliveries according to guest requests.  Assisting other departments in various tasks.  Weekend hours are necessary.  2-3 days/week summer positions are available. 

Grounds, Marina and Maintenance

Seeking a motivated person to assist in groundskeeping, boat preparation, and various maintenance tasks. Groundskeeping includes but is not limited to lawn mowing, blowing, sweeping, and garbage pick-up. During the Summer season it is your responsibility to clean and gas boats and have some knowledge of general maintenance and repairs.  Must be personable, able and willing to communicate effectively with resort guests.  Weekend hours are necessary.

Children’s Activities

Program Assistant

Assist the Children’s Activities Director in various tasks.  Must be responsible, creative, motivated and work well with children of all ages.  Program example can be found on-line. 

Bartender

(day or evening shifts available)

Seeking a motivated bartender to serve drinks and food in our Lounge. Bartender must handle cash, credit cards and check payments and operate a POS System.  You must also check identification of customers and maintain a clean environment.  This seasonal position requires a general knowledge of the area so you may assist guests.  Must be responsible and personable. 

Front Desk

Guest Service Representative

We are now hiring a summer season, 2nd shift, Front Desk Reservationist/ Customer Service Rep. This job includes but is not limited to taking reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and customer service.  Computer experience and office experience is a plus.  Please email resume or stop at our resort office to fill out an application.

Hospitality Intern

Seeking a Summer Intern to join our team. Put your education to work at Black Bear Lodge this summer!  This position will provide you with a variety of responsibilities including sales, service and operations work (housekeeping, maintenance and grounds) to assist and learn various departments of resort operation.  We would consider working with college hospitality programs at your request. 

Gift Shop Manager

Seeking a self-motivated individual to manage the day-to-day operations of our gift shop through the summer season.  Plan to handle scheduling, merchandising, inventory control, etc.  Perfect for a college/summer intern to gain experience in retail, marketing and merchandising. 

Seeking a General Manager with top-notch customer service to coordinate operations, grow sales and optimize performance.  We are seeking an organized, pro-active, and energetic individual with hospitality management education plus 3-5+ years hotel/resort GM experience.  The successful candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of hotel/resort operations.  Candidates must be competitively driven, possess excellent communication skills, and must be able to effectively delegate and follow up on assignments and goals. This candidate will be expected to maintain effective business relationships within the community.  A competitive salary, benefit package, and housing are available to qualified candidates, howev/er on-site housing is not required.
